Apparently publishing a book was only the beginning.
Since Mudwhiff: The Accidental Shaman wandered into the world, our slightly muddy warthog has been busy. There’s a second book, new music and videos, and this fall, Mudwhiff is hitting the road.
A New Book in the Burrow
Mudwhiff Presents Bedtime in the Burrow: Gentle Stories for the End of the Day has officially joined the family!
It’s a collection of 23 illustrated stories for the quiet end of the day, each ending with a Dream Seed and a Tomorrow Step.
Seeing Mudwhiff’s two books sitting beside each other for the first time was a little surreal.
One peculiar warthog had officially become a bookshelf.
Some Stories Don’t Stay in Books
Mudwhiff has also wandered into music and video.
There have been moonshine and fireflies, swamp pigs, alligator rhythms, The Feral Pigs, and more than one questionable adventure involving brownies.
And people are finding Mudwhiff in all sorts of ways. Some discover the books first. Others stumble across a song or video and then wander into the stories.
Apparently, some stories don’t stay in books.
Come Meet the Pig!
Mudwhiff and I have two Arkansas appearances coming up:
🐗 Ozark Creative Writers Conference
October 8–10, 2026
Best Western Inn of the Ozarks
Eureka Springs, Arkansas
📚 Ozarks Authors Book Expo
October 24, 2026 | 10 AM–Noon

We’ll have both books with us, so come say hello, meet the author, meet the pig, and get a signed book!
What started with watching a real warthog at a waterhole in Namibia has somehow become books, music, videos, characters, adventures, and a world that keeps getting bigger.
I’m learning not to ask exactly where it’s going.
I’m just following the pig.
Notice what you notice.
You never know where it might lead.
